With upwards of 3 million components passing through the stores each year, good systems, accuracy and attention to detail are vital. All materials are offloaded, pass through Goods-Inwards checks and are put away safely in their allocated storage locations. All parts have to be labelled/bar-coded for ease of identification, something that is vital when it comes to the next stage in the process- Kitting.

Strategic Purchasing

Strategic purchasing plays a vital role at Wrightbus, “planning, implementing, evaluating, and controlling strategic and operating purchasing decisions. Strategic procurement involves identifying key areas of spend within the business and identifying ways of adding value through the procurement processes.

Our primary focus for some time has been zero emission technology development and we pride ourselves in having developed and launched both the worlds first Hydrogen powered Double Deck bus, and the world’s most efficient battery-electric double-deck bus.
