Housing in northern heading
House prices in Northern Ireland, in comparison to other regions in the UK, often present a more affordable option for homebuyers. While specific figures can vary and are subject to market fluctuations, on average, property prices in Northern Ireland tend to be more budget-friendly than in some other parts of the UK, such as London and the South East. This affordability makes Northern Ireland an attractive destination for individuals and families seeking to enter the property market or upgrade to larger homes. The region's combination of reasonable housing costs, coupled with its scenic landscapes and cultural richness, adds to the overall appeal of living and working in Northern Ireland. It allows residents to enjoy a high quality of life without the same level of financial strain often associated with housing in certain areas of the UK.

Northern Ireland is so beautiful and so far away from the country where I grew up. My first day at Wrightbus was amazing, because the people were very kind in welcoming us. I felt very lucky, especially since it was my first time to work abroad. During the induction you will really feel that you are important and that you are a priority to the company.
It's great to work for this company, because they really put your safety first. Our colleagues at work are also very kind, they will help you especially if you are a beginner, they will not hesitate to share knowledge. And it wasn't difficult to live with and adapt to them. From co-workers, team leaders, supervisors, managers, safety officers and HR and to all who make up Wrightbus, I or we Filipinos salute you for welcoming us here in Northern Ireland.

Engineering
I began my Engineering career in 2003 on placement from Ulster University. I entered full time employment with the company at graduate level, moving through production support, development, and software engineering. Wrightbus has offered me fantastic opportunities to progress through my career, offering me all the support and training I have needed to really excel in my areas of expertise.
It is an incredible company to work for. During my career I have been involved in many exciting projects, and of course now with the company’s passion and drive for zero emission technologies and continued innovations in the field – working in the engineering department has been challenging and incredibly rewarding.
On a personal level, being able to grow a successful career in a company operating on a global scale, all while enjoying the benefits of it’s rural location has been vital. I have been able to work on projects where world leading technology is being developed, whilst balancing a home life where my family have been able to flourish. While engineering may often be associated with bustling urban centres, the tranquillity and slower pace of rural life for my young family has defiantly complemented the demands of this profession.
Engineering careers at Wrightbus empower individuals to innovate, solve complex problems, and shape the world around us through cutting-edge technology and creative solutions. I would highly recommend making the move to join our team.

Global Mobility
"Since joining the company 2022, my experience at Wrightbus has been nothing short of exceptional. From day one, I've been entrusted with meaningful projects that not only contribute value to the company but also nurture my professional growth. Thanks to these opportunities, I've been able to advance within the organisation, a testament to the supportive environment fostered here.
Family ties and the promising trajectory of growth drew me to the company. The flexibility offered in terms of working arrangements has been a lifesaver, especially with a young family to consider. Living and working in the area has offered us many benefits, from the relaxed pace of life, Belfast city and the North coastline on our doorstep, and ensuring the best schooling options for my children.
One of the highlights of my role is the chance to engage in international travel and collaborate on global initiatives. This aspect empowers me to contribute strategically to the company, delivering value on a global scale.
Wrightbus has not only facilitated my professional growth but has also provided the necessary support for me to balance my career aspirations with the needs of my family.
I am grateful for the enriching experiences and opportunities that continue to define my journey here.
