Leading zero-emissions bus manufacturer Wrightbus has further strengthened its sales team with a new senior appointment.
Phil Owen has joined the Northern Ireland-based business as Head of Sales (Key Accounts).
He brings with him a wealth of experience, having worked in the industry for the past 28 years covering, sales, account management, senior management and, most recently, operations.
Phil said: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining the team at Wrightbus. The vision, direction and drive the senior team has for supporting the industry to meet its various net zero targets is clear.
“Offering the most efficient products, comprehensive support packages and further investment in the business will bring confidence and peace of mind to our customers when making procurement decisions for their future transport requirements.”
Wrightbus is behind the world's first hydrogen and world's most efficient battery-electric double deck buses, and is creating hundreds of new jobs as it looks to the future of zero-emission transport.
John McLeister, Director of Sales and Business Development at Wrightbus, said: “We are thrilled to have Phil join the sales team.
“Phil needs no introduction to the bus industry and brings an abundance of industry knowledge and experience that will complement the existing team.
“I look forward to working with him on expanding our reach across the customer base, ensuring that customers are provided with a professional sales experience.”
Wrightbus has been at the forefront of public transport for more than 75 years.
2023 has been hugely successful so far following a string of new orders including 48 buses for Stagecoach for use in London and 117 vehicles for First Bus across the UK.
